Son of the
difference
The force of humanization is
generated through difference. It “functions” like any energy between a
hot source and a cold well. Its dynamics is function of this potential
difference. The larger it is, the more powerful is the energy.
How can this potential difference
between hot source and cold well be translated concretely into the
human existence? The cold well of our human breath does not cease to swallow up
our spiritual energies. It is omnipresent and meets in a thousand ways. Call it
entropy.
Facing the cold
well, overhanging it to some extent, there is the hot source of our
spiritual energies. Its expressions are also infinite. Faith. Certainty.
Lucidity. Hope. Peace. Joy. Love. Generosity. Inspiration. Conversion.
Enthusiasm… Can this hot source finally be elsewhere than in God? You can
certainly live being unaware of your hot source. It does not ignore you. Under
penalty of death!

There does not
exist a great culture which was constituted without a powerful hot source of
absolute meaning: God, Being, Cosmos, Values, Nature, Sense… Also with semantic
accumulators well charged like the tradition, the religion, education, common
wisdom, the monuments of art and of spirit… Until its decline a cultural system
functions thanks to its opening on the ecosystem of the total Sense. Thus
it can be a living reality. Thus its spiritual vitality does not cease defying
victoriously the entropic fate of the degradation of the
Sense.

Value is not
generated by identity but by difference. Coincidence is the end of desire. As
long as it abounds, water remains without value. But its value grows ad
infinitum if you are lost and thirsty in the desert. Only distances nourish
nostalgias. An object becomes more desirable when it is missing or lost. To run
after something still makes it more desirable. The conquest multiplies by
greatly its value. Finally 'value' emerges from a gaping. The value
occurs in the negation of the indifference. It emerges with the difference.
There is a stone lying at the edge of the way. It remains `unspecified'
and unimportant until the moment when an archaeologist discovers it like an
important vestige. It takes on value only once it leaves its indifference to be
located in the difference. A word is really speaking to you when it leaves the
hubbub and emerges in the difference. Then it takes value. Who is the
demiurge of such a transmutation? The human glance, the human listening, i.e.
the great `differentiating' dynamics that we can also call
spirit.
