Child of elsewhere…
The sudden appearance of the
specific human realm is in rupture of evolution. It quite simply refuses
to enter the play of nature and puts forward new rules. All occurs as if the
evolution exploits from now on another plan. As if a page were turned on its
animal basis. Another reality takes over
in genetics. Man is biologically `stopped' to
run another adventure elsewhere.
In the middle of the natural
programming irrupts another program. It starts from a new programmer. This
program is called “culture” in its most relevant meaning. The programmer is

In the reign of nature value is
measured by the natural selection. It decides what, through the struggle for life, is
affirmed “valid” for survival: rough force, domination, selfishness,
predatory instinct, tricking… The `natura' has neither comprehension nor respect
for the specifically human values which remain properly `against-nature'.
Holiness, for example, or the moral requirement. Where can this astonishing
relevance come from to these anti-values?
From now on it is culture
which becomes for man the new
nature.
The human
reality is generated truly human through a matrix which is different from the
simple biological matrix. This ‘other’ matrix can only be of another kind,
namely of the order of the `logos'. It is the anthropogenic logos, i.e.
the archaeological Verb which generates the humanity as human.
