The other one
Otherness
is where integration resists. When a reality as a whole, or as a part
or a dimension of it, gets difficult if not impossible to be included
and integrated in the realm of the 'same' one. And you get thus the
different degrees of otherness.

An
ideology
does not cease integrating the other
one in the identity of same
one...
or to exclude it. For
lack of opening to the other one, by absence of reference frame which
transcends it, the idea buckled on itself in ideology
can only be locked up on its own self-justification. Vicious circle
of the logic which turns in round until being condemned to justify
the unjustifiable one. Idea, my idea itself closed on itself, in your
name what a a lot of terror generated!

Around the 'same', space gets curved. A reign of the 'same' closes itself in
consistent homeostasis. The one which does not play the game of
identity, that is the 'other' one, is expelled. Its realm extends in
an infinitely open space of negative curvature.

There are basically two radically different ways to 'understand', in
accordance with the opening
or the closure
of the epistemological and pragmatic space. In closed space,
comprehension tends to be buckled in reduction with the 'same'. In
open space, intelligence is unceasingly exposed to the 'different'
one.
