Congenital
evil
Original
sin... Sin of the world. The Christian mystery would deny itself by
denying it. Without it, which sense would have Redemption? But before
being an essential theological concept, the sin of the world is a
reality of experience. We are not born one hundred percent good.
We are not born like other animals in natural harmony. A fault is
there in the hollow of our being. And no theory can find its
reason. Drive it out as generations of badly 'enlightened' people
tried to do, and it will return at a gallop! Under thousand avatars.
Something
like a 'constituting' sin - 'peccatum peccans' according to saint
Ireneus - behind all the 'constituted' sins. It's originating. A
primitive fault which calls for the continuation of our human
bankruptcies. A first warp on which is woven all this fabric of
iniquity which recovers the earth.
It's
the matrix itself of our humanization which must be affected by this
originating conspiring negativity. That escapes the clear and
distinct approach which our reason would like. A lot of people thus
prefer to keep silent. But the sin resists this silence. There
remains a different speech which speaks through a deep symbolic
system. What is this sin of the world that the Lamb indicated by Jean
the Baptist can carry and remove? Perhaps only the clear look of a
child of Alliance makes it possible to foresee its occult consistency
and to reveal it like a conspiracy against Alliance, against God and
against his Christ. A pact of anti-Alliance tied by a mysterious
schizoid solidarity orchestrated by the Satan which is also Legion…
A
world which makes die the Innocent one, a world which crucifies
Christ, a world which invents Auschwitz, reveals the massive presence
of this immense negativity which is its evil. This evil of the world
resists, irrational, trans-rational, to every possible comprehension.
The
evil is something too strange in immanence. It overflows the
immanence from all sides. In its way it is 'transcendent', of a kind
of negative transcendence. Tremendum
mysterium iniquitatis!
Anti-Alliance
conspires since the origin against the archaeological Verb, the
first-known of the Father, Life and Light of every man who is born in
this world. This Verb which, according to the extraordinary vision of
Johan Tauler, does not cease being known and generated in deepest of
man, to generate him at the same time as divine and
human.
Symmetrically
grotesque and counterfeiting the Word which generates him really son
of the Father, insinuates then the first untrue assertion: 'you will
be like gods'. It had an echo. It developed. It became the dominating
Speech orchestrated by the Prince of this world.
This
irrational coalition must however be present at the base of our
'constituted' rationalities, since far from being able to control it
they are controlled by it. It is the matrix itself of our
humanization which must be affected by this originating conspiring
negativity . And what is basically this matrix of human specificity.
It is the word.
The
originating sin embraces thus the originating speech which creates
the originating human condition. This speech is culturally making up
every human being. It's like a chain tying together all the humans
and compromising them with the originating conspiring negativity.
Through space and time. To brake the chain, a revolutionary Word in
necessary. This Word was already spoken in our world.
In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things
were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him
was life, and that life was the light of men. - The true light that
gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the
world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not
recognise him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not
receive him.
