Here we are
light years away from
the 'modern' approach of man buckled on itself. Against the
vertical creative rooting of humanity, eagerness was extreme. There,
off this interiority, God was to be driven out with much more
violence than out of all the externalities. To the mechanisms of
repression and defence one endeavoured to lend scientific solidity. A
plethora of 'sciences' known as 'human' ones or 'social' ones hide
badly the occult purpose of their therapeutic eagerness to 'save' man
from his divine filiation. Without recovery however. It was believed
that man, finally delivered of its mystery, would find his innocence.
It was believed that man, finally would return without illusions, to
his pure immanence, and bloom like the most beautiful animal in the
most beautiful zoological garden. It is only a strange evil which
started to proliferate…
Our contemporary evidences want to count on radical finiteness,
on strict immanence
and on total enclosure
of the human being. Then remains a simply virtual 'I', phenomenal
appearance of an 'id' get tangled up in a dead end. Where
Freud once located an instinctual dynamics as the originating human
motivity, other approaches discover blind laws of mechanical
discourse. A point zero of lacking. Absurd functioning of a foolish
desire in the vacuum of sense.
Open
on the Gaping of the bottomless divine depths, the bottom of your
heart is your own being at
its
source,
just left out of the hands of God, at his image and its resemblance,
the first morning of creation and wailing in the Spirit its divine
filiation of grace. Your 'heart' is neither its own principle nor its
absolute master. Naturally, naively, such as it leaves the creative
Breath, the 'heart' is given in alliance and in deep and fundamental
fidelity.
Immediately however, at the beginning of the human adventure,
infidelity is lying in wait for it. It can close its gaping on the
Other one which founds it. What a disconcerting mystery of human
freedom! Worrying mystery of sin…
You have to 'burst the
skins'. It
is in a very concrete way that Tauler evokes them. These multiple,
thick, black, nauseous,
sticky skins, which, in the
incredible tangle of their outgrowths, recover and block the depths
of man. Thus at the same time the access to the sources ofauthentic divinity as of authentic humanity is stopped.
To
clear the sources… That starts with the source of each living human
person. Then you make the experience of the Alive Source. You make
the experience of the communion with God. At the same time you
discover yourself in plenitude.
Your
'heart' is transparent to the light of the Verb which illuminates any
man. Your 'heart' is the space
of the truth
in you. May you become aware of it or not, when your 'heart' is
perverted, every thing is perverted! When the great vertical relation
of divine humanization is denatured, every thing is denatured.
